Hi all,

There's a Malaysian Society in Leicester in case u don't know about it.
This society consists of working Malaysians. Most of the Malaysians have been staying in the UK for really looong, i.e. around 7-20years now.
we have also young Malaysians who have just started working in the UK after graduated, like myself + some other Malaysians who just graduated and now searching for work.
We welcome every Malaysians who wish to get in touch with others, and do not set any criteria for you to join. So, we don't mind whether you are a student, graduate, working adults or year-out travellers. Just feel free to join us.

A good tip from the insider- The Malaysian ladies in our society are excellent cooks. So splendid Malaysian dishes are anticipated whenever there's a makan event!!
Don't hesitate, just come & join us. We're all friendly Malaysians with the sweetest personalities

here it goes, since i've been 'tagged' to do this

I’ve joined this group since 2008. Basically it’s a gathering of Malaysians in Leicester (although we do have some non-malaysians joining us as well, mostly friends of our Malaysian members). We have our official meetings once in every 2 months, i.e. the 1st Friday of each odd month (Jan, March, etc..) and it always ended with a makan session Other than this, we also organise events in between e.g. CNY celebrations in Feb, Barn dance cum AGM in March, a walk in June etc… and we do also go out for birthday celebrations sometimes. During the meeting, we will discuss about feedback from previous event that we organised, what to do and actions for next event, and any other matters brought up by our members… Most of the members are working and have been living in Leicester for more than 10 years…

When I came here to work I hardly knew anybody except my colleagues and I am very glad when I found this group. Like wanyin said….. We welcome every Malaysians who wish to get in touch with others, so do come and join us.

I don't think so.. but the biggest malaysian society in birmingham is Birmingham University Msian Society.
