What to eat in Birmingham?
Chung Ying Restaurant @ China Town
Malaysian Delight @ China Town
China Court @ China Town

These 3 are my favorite restaurants! :D

Try introducing some buffet places...
Lunch is the cheapest deal you can get, I guess?

Talking about buffet... my favourite chinese buffet is Dragon BBQ (at Broadway). If you do not mind traveling far, Wing Wa (at Aston Villa) is quite a good choice as well, offering dim sum and Teppanyaki.
As for non chinese one, I particularly like Around The World along Broad Street.

You've missed Bullring... you must take photos with the BULL and the very special Selfridges if you come to bham.
what about Aston Hall, Electric Cinema, Sarehole Mill and Birmingham Back to Backs? Have you visited these places?

Yes to the Bullring (of course ;) can't miss out on the biggest shopping centre in town! haha). No to any of the others - never even heard of them. What are they? More details please? :)

Electric Cinema is near city centre, it is the OLDEST cinema in UK, well but now the interior is refurnished and quite stylish.

Birmingham Back to Backs is just along the road beside the Hippodrome? if you know where is the Riley's at city centre?

Would definitely prefer to stay, of course. But the no-job situation means that I'd probably have to go back. And at my age, coming back here again would probably not be possible, so yeah, once I go back, it'll most likely be for good.

On buffets, there is a japanese sushi buffet for 10pounds in the mailbox. Called Shogun if I am not mistaken.
Not too bad, but of course they don't serve sashimi hehe.

Cosmo at Coventry is good as well (just a short ride on the train)or steamboat at Wingwah near Aston.
